Junior Offseason Programs
The Crusaders Rugby Club offers a number of offseason/indoor programs to help our athletes develop in the offseason. These programs have grown significantly in the past four years to incorporate more than 150 of our junior and minis athletes. To participate in these programs, register here.
Advanced Skills Program
The Crusaders Advanced Skills Program is a 12-week program offered to 10-18 year old boys and girls.
The program consists of 12 indoor sessions (Sundays Jan 5th, 2025 – Apr 6th, 2025) focusing on developing advanced skills: pass/catch skills, agility, evasion, finding space, handling skills, positional skills, situational skills. Building on the previous program, this year will include guest coaches (including international players, university and national coaches), training shirts.
- 12 x 1-hour indoor skills training sessions, Sundays 7.15 pm-8.15 pm
- Where?: Pine Glen Facility, 1520 Pine Glen Road, Oakville
- Girls and Boys will be split into separate groups/programs
- U12s will train separately from U14-U18
- Focus on developing advanced skills: pass/catch skills, agility, evasion, finding and using space, game situational activities
- Training CRU SKILLS t-shirts provided
- Open to registered members only
- As last year, we plan to invite guest coaches to run a few sessions (national players, university coaches etc.)
- Cost: $216+HST (if applicable) for 12 sessions

Note: we’ve avoided public holiday weekends and the first Sunday of March break.
Junior Strength & Conditioning Program
Offered in partnership with Sports Specific Training (SST) (505 Iroquois Shore Rd, Oakville), the Crusaders off-season strength and conditioning program runs November thru March and is offered to U14-U18 boys and girls to help develop power, strength and speed with certified Strength and Conditioning coaches.
This program enables our athletes to develop strength in an age-appropriate, safe and effective manner, learn the mechanics of sprinting, acceleration, change of direction, jumping and strength-based exercises, and measure and gauge their progress.

- Fitness Testing (Pre- and Post-), to evaluate:
- Soft tissue work + Dynamic warm-up
