Crusaders Players Fund

New in 2025, the Crusaders Rugby Club has introduced the Crusaders Players Fund, a charitable fund intended to raise funds to provide financial support to players in financial need. The Crusaders Players Fund is administered by Ontario Sport Network, a not-for-profit nonpartisan organization dedicated to the promotion of sport and physical activity in Ontario and a partner in the National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF).

Donors to the Crusaders Players Fund will receive charitable donation tax receipts for their donations, participation in fundraising events and other forms of charitable giving to the Annual Fund.

Fund Mandate/Description

The Crusaders Players Fund, is designed to support young and aspiring athletes who demonstrate talent, commitment, and a strong desire to excel in their sport but face financial barriers that limit their access to training, equipment, travel, and competition opportunities.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be used for the following causes:

  • Provide scholarships and financial support for players in financial need of help with club dues
  • In certain cases, the fund may further offer subsidies or grants to cover coaching fees, tournament registrations, travel costs, uniforms, and essential equipment.
