In Ontario the Junior Sevens season runs from early September to end of October.
The Crusaders Sevens program is a player driven experience. A chance to play and train high quality rugby with your local club; and a chance to demonstrate the skills acquired throughout the year.
Every year we endeavor to enter Girls and Boys sides in the highest levels we can. Our Volunteer Coaches are veterans of the old TRU and ORU Sevens tournaments and pass that experience on to the kids through a positive teaching environment.
Because of our numbers, we benefit from a lot of Sevens Play/Practice and modified games teaching in training.
We do not promote ourselves as a Sevens driven Elite Academy. Just a local club with a lot of good players, willing to play where ever and whomever we’re allowed to, at the lowest possible cost to our families.
In recent years the Crusaders Rugby Club or ‘Cru players’ under various names have played in the following tournaments and more:
- Kinsale Sevens Ireland
- Tropical Sevens USA
- National Sevens Championships BC
- Canadian University Championships
- ORU Sevens
- TRU Sevens
- Ontario Summer Games
- Las Vegas Invitational Sevens USA
- Hong Kong Sevens
- Canadian National Sevens Team
- World Schools Sevens NZ
- Youth Olympics Argentina
- NAI 7s
